J. Ivan Marini

Civil Litigation and Employment Law

J. Ivan Marini is a partner with Yachetti, Lanza & Restivo^LLP. 

Mr. Marini practices exclusively in the areas of Civil Litigation and Employment Law.  He has extensive experience in all areas of Civil Litigation and has appeared before the Ontario Divisional Court, the Court of Appeal, the Ontario Municipal Board, the Land Division Committee of the Regional Municipality of Hamilton-Wentworth, the Ontario Labour Relations Board and various grievance arbitration boards.  In addition, he has been appointed as an arbitrator in the fields of Civil Litigation and Labour Arbitration. 

Mr. Marini attended McMaster University for two years and made the Dean’s Honour List before receiving a Bachelor of Law Degree from the University of Toronto in 1975.  He articled with Yachetti, Lanza & Restivo^LLP and joined the firm after being called to the Bar in 1977.

Mr. Marini has been a Trustee of the St. Thomas Moore Lawyers’ Guild as well as a Trustee of the East Hamilton-Stoney Creek Health Association.

Mr. Marini has been a guest lecturer for the Canadian Bar Association and the Hamilton Law Association.  He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Hamilton Law Association, the Hamilton Lawyers’ Club, the Hamilton Medical-legal Society, the Advocates’ Society and the Hamilton Law Association.
